Privacy Policy
WizScore keeps score for the card game Wizard. It is free, contains no advertising, and does not track you. This policy explains the small amount of data the app does handle.
Using the app without an account
You can use every feature of the app without signing in. In that case your games — player names, bids, tricks, scores and timestamps — are stored only on your device. We never receive them, and uninstalling the app deletes them.
What we collect if you create an account
Signing in is optional and enables cloud backup, playing across devices, and shared statistics. We then store:
- Your email address, so you can sign in and recover your account.
- Your Apple account identifier and name, if you choose Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only ever see the relay address Apple generates.
- A display name, if you set one, shown to people you share games with.
- Your game data — the same player names, bids, tricks and scores described above, uploaded so they survive a lost device.
- A record of any tip you give — which tier, when, and the price your store charged — so supporter recognition can be granted to your account and survives a reinstall or a change of device.
What we never collect
- No advertising or tracking identifiers, and no third-party analytics.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
- No payment details. Tips are processed entirely by Apple; we store only which tip was given and what it cost, never your name, card or address.
Sharing a game with other players
When you share a game with an invite code, the players in that game can see its scorecard — the player names, per-round results and final scores — and the display name of whoever hosted it. Nothing else about your account is shared. Anyone who has the code can view that one game, so only pass it to people you played with. Codes expire after 30 days.
Where your data is stored
Account and game data is stored with Supabase, which hosts our database and authentication. Data is held in the region configured for our project (EU). Supabase acts as our processor and does not use your data for its own purposes.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual games at any time, and you can delete your entire account from Account → Delete Account inside the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your login and every game you host. Games hosted by other players that you joined keep the name on the scorecard but lose any link to your account.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to processing or ask for your data in a portable form. The in-app delete removes everything we hold; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
